Thank you John, Thank you Lukasz that burnt off paint was why I wanted to build the model, I am happy with the effect.

F-100D 309 Tactical Fighter Squadron Toy Hoy Air Base 1970
The Trumpeter 1/72 F-100D finished in SEA camouflage on a shake and bake mission with M117 Bombs and M77 Napalm. I built the kit out of the box with the exception of metal tape seatbelts. I finished the aircraft with Vallejo Air paints in the FS colors of 34079, 34102 and 30219 on the top and 36622 on the underside. I particularly wanted to show the burnt off paint on the tail around the engine I did this with Vallejo metal acrylics in various shades of aluminum, steel, copper and blue gunmetal, Caracal decals CD72071 (F-100 in Vietnam) were used to model "Collen" of the 309th, The M117 are from the Hasegawa Bombs weapon set and the M77 are resin from Eduard
