Zvezda's kit is very intricate and challenging. It has a very high quality and a lot of tiny thin parts. Its structure is quite complicated and requires a lot of painting before assembly. To make things worse, my kit had a warpage of the main part in the most complex place - round the wing root where air intakes meet the underwing area, so I struggled to make it fit.
Most of SMTs have a Splinter camo, either a darker neutral one or a lighter and greener. The 25 red unit has a slightly different pattern and markings. I mixed several paints from Vallejo to achieve the colors as seen on the photos. It seems that I succeeded although the photos are not precise in color reproduction.
For the stores I select the ones that represent the unique feature of SMT variant - television guidance. The kit stores are quite rough and do not contain clear parts, so I need some time to decide how to do their TV windows.
