M43 8-Inch Howitzer Motor Carriage - Korea

M43 8-Inch SP Howitzer in the 987th Field Artillery BN in Korea. Model in travelling configuration with all equipment stowed, tube in travel lock, sights stowed, and spade locked up.

Conversion from the AFV Club M40 kit with the 8-inch barrel from Shapeways. Primarily used the Voyager PE set with a few things taken from an Eduard M-7 PE kit. Used the AFV Club T80 separate link tracks as the kit supplied tracks where only used on the prototype. Used the AFV Club 203mm ammo. Scratch built, Projo racks, powder racks, fighting compartment walls, aiming posts and racks. Scratch built ramming staffs, with sponge and rammer in storage racks.
