I was running with my friend Danny Jesser when it came up that his father served as a pilot during WWII. Pressing Danny for details, I learned Alfred Jesser was nearly killed when the A-20 he was piloting plunged into a lagoon. His two passengers died on this non-combat flight.
I later Googled "Jesser A-20," and learning the Havoc still sits in that lagoon and is registered in the Pacific Wrecks database. I was able to confirm Jesser served with the famous 389BS/312BG, and the A-20 was 43-9626. She had no known nose art, and it is going to take some more digging to form a guess about her other markings, but I will definitely be modeling her.
