El Alamein - 3rd November 1942

Depiction of a Crusader III belonging to A Squadron, 9th Queens Royal Lancers during the latter stages of the battle of 2nd El Alamein as part of Montgomery's "Corps de chasse" - X Corps, 2nd Armoured Brigade, 1st Armoured Division. On 3rd November, 2nd Armoured Brigade was tasked to support the forward battalion of the 133rd Lorried Brigade (2nd King's Royal Rifle Corps). Fighting continued throughout 3 November, but the 2nd Armoured Brigade was held off by elements of the Afrika Korps and tanks of the Littorio Division.
