I always wanted to build a really nice MiG-17 PF version, but currently the only available kit is a truly awful MisterCraft version. It is a really cheap kit, but it is also very poorly designed and badly molded and unfortunately does not result in a decent replica of the aircraft.
As I was working on an Airfix MiG-17F, I realized that it would be possible to start with this and fuse it together with the nose section, gun section, and canopy of the MisterCraft PF kit. I would need to do a few major modifications and also some scratch building, but it should be quite within my abilities, and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg if I fail.
