Personal Interest:
This model represents a RQ-1A Predator flown by the 11th Reconnaissance Squadron out of Indian Springs Air Force Auxiliary Field, Nevada. The RQ-1A was a new asset to the USAF in 1996, having first been used in combat over Kosovo in 1995 and then forward deployed to Saudi Arabia for Operation Southern Watch. The RQ-1A provided real-time video of Iraqi ground activities in the southern no-fly zone.
