Ok, riveting is time-consuming but also relaxing. I gave the wing a wash to check the result. Looking good so far. I just hope that it will be still visible after paint job

Made some progress on the small E381 fighter to be carried by the 234.

Finished the E381. Just some light panel line wash, no chipping or fading, as this was more or less a one-time flyer...

Today I began the painting process for the 234. Sprayed RLM66 on the canopy and also used this for preshading of the upperside. Preshading of the underside was done with Intermediate Blue. I tried these colours instead of the usual black to obtain less contrast to the base coats and make it blend better. Hopefully...

With the engine outlets and canopy frames done, painting comes to an end. Especially the latter was very tedious in terms of masking. But I am satisfied with the result 😃
