Made a start on the 1/32 Trumpeter F4F-4 Wildcat, I'm having my wings permanently folded, this is just all dry fitted so far, I'll add more detail later when the wing is added. No point cleaning up the inside part of the wing of ejection holes, as this will be hidden behind the wing. Think it looks ok so far.

So today I've semi painted up the other sides wing root fold system. And started dry fitting the engine. Need to pick a scheme from the Techmod decals at some point, thinking of 1 or 4 so far.

Ooh landing gear and engine support structure. Just needs a few touchups, thats it done for now, have to glue it all up straight away, doing it later would be a pain in the ass. Looks ok, I'm no expert on these things. Just for fun build in-between other stuff.

I think, as an engine that'll do really, don't need anymore detail on it. Couldn't see it if it was there anyway. I'll paint the rear bank of cylinders, but that's probably it.

That's all for today, making the most of what you get in the kit, only added bits of wire, no sense going mad with detailing parts you wont see. Prop tomorrow, finish the rear bank of Cylinders, and make a start on the cockpit. Looking nice so far, looks like an engine to me.

Engine, exhaust manifold system and front bulkhead done. For what you can see, the kit parts are good enough. No point spending lots of money on a resin engine. Just some wire and a bit of paint.

This old Eduard set has its issues, which I will describe after I finish the model. So far, the main problem was the photo-etched instrument panel, which I mounted a little too far from the seat (or at the wrong angle), because this location suggested the arrangement of other elements in the cabin. As a result, the gunsight stuck to the panel, collided with the canopy. I solved the problem by mounting the sight on a longer piece of plastic, which may give a slightly caricatured effect, but what could I do?

I used the good wether today to work on the smaler parts for the Fallout diorama again. The most figures don't fit OOB, so are modified or combinations from different figures from the (up to now 4) figure sets.

Today I started assembling the next 3 figures, including one complete scratch build. I've never done that before, so I'm exited if it works at all.

I fixed the figures to corks and primed them with Revell 008 Black. Now I can see some small mistakes wich require some attention. The camera dosn't show that to well.

Hi Erik and Shar, welcome.
@Shar: At the moment I'm thinking about adding 2 more albums, one for infrastructure & buildings and one for the base witch would than include the entire project. For me, this makes the most sense, as I also proceed in the same way when building. The finished figures then go into the display case until I need them in the building or on vehicles, which are then back in the display case until the base is finished. As I use the albums here to keep an overview over the project I find everything faster.

In the last week I reworked the seams & the details (1 or 2 figures a day) primed it yesterday Black (Revell Emaile 08) and added some White (Revell 04) ftom above to help with shadows & light.

I worked today for nearly 5 h on basic painting of the clothes. As I will probably not use the girl with the crossbow I want to try some things here, but wasn't motivated in the end. Next weekend I want to start with the skin.
