Desert MarlinThe nose portion is requiring a bit of work to match the radome. Not much though. Lots of little touchups after closing the fuselage. Now I can mask the tail code and install it. Will add the nose cone soon.

Mark DI would say that the tail and Diana are flat coated, from different angles as you can find on the internet, the lady is very visible and you can't see any reflection like for example on the canopy or the heat stained exhaust ring. Very nice subject, she looks even better than the various Dutch 323 squadron tails in my opinion..

Desert MarlinSo, in the process of cleaning the ridge off the canopy and fitting the internal canopy frame, the dreaded "hairline fracture" appeared in the glass. I have considered switching over to a Taniya canopy which was only partially successful... Looks like I need a new canopy for the Kinetic kit...

Mark DI've good experiences with Kinetic, I needed a new canopy for an F-18, within a month I had a new sprue.
Did the cracks appeared during sanding and polishing or with testfitting the inner frame? (During sanding I always put in some bluetack like stuff in the canopy to prevent too much bending of the canopy.) By the way, I didn't know that the ADF had that big birdslicers compared to MLU till I saw your build; they are pretty notable on the nose.

Desert MarlinMark D, I had the same impression about the ADF antennas. There is also a ventral array under the intake. Kinetic has told me there are no stock of new canopy sprues…

Desert MarlinI'm told it's fixed and mine appear to be fixed. If you chose a "teaser" photo", change that a couple of times and the process should straighten out...

Desert MarlinAye! It seems the Chinese have made a kit (Kinetic) very detailed but "just a little off" in areas. The landing gear parts are pretty fragile. Overall, I like the Kinetic kit because of the available details!

Desert MarlinI put a tremendous amount of work into the ejection seat and wanted the canopy closed with this version so a really clean canopy was mandatory!

Desert MarlinNext is the "Dirty Diana" and there are two more schemes in the Eduard NATO Vipers to FINish also! One Tiger and one Lounging Diana! Hopefully in this lifetime!
