GSX1100S Suzuki KATANA Custom Tuned
Engine painted in SMS Dark Bronze.
Air filter upgrades!
Frame painted in SMS Jet Black.
Original air cleaner / filter given the chop.
Rear fender also customised.
Touching up the exhaust. Tip cut off and some detailing sanded down.
Losing this ridge.
All smooth.
Light is only going on one side, so one of these will need to be filled in.
The right side filled with a piece of sprue. I will also be adding putty for a smooth finish.
I wanted more of a titanium look for the swing arm, so I combined SMS Super Silver with a little clear yellow. Happy with how it came out.
Exhaust system done in SMS Jet Black.
Finished exhaust tip.
Disc brakes done in SMS Cold Chrome and weathered with Tamiya Weathering kit.
Customised headlamp, made from leftover parts of another kit.
Wired.
Front headlight customised with guitar string.
MFH adhesive leather for the seat.
Custom headlights completed.
Devastated!! This decal was perfect until I put a little MicroSol on it. This has never happened before. Not happy!
A couple of spare wheel parts make for a great custom brake fluid reservoir.
This is how it will look.
Some paint added. The black is SMS Jet Black and the chrome is SMS Cold Chrome.
The photo doesn't do this colour justice. It is SMS Light Bronze.
Clear coat of SMS Flat.
Windscreen done in SMS Clear Brown
This part kept pulling and just would not stick. Tried clamping it but it just wasn't happening.

Finished! Not my best work, but I think it came pretty close to the FCR Custom I was inspired by.

Thank you! The colour is SMS Light Bronze. It's over Mr Surfacer Black and has a flat coat over it. Sometimes it looks green, then grey, then brown. All depends on the light. Took it out in the sun today and got some better pics.
