After three weeks of struggle, the scale model of Harbin Z-9D is completely assembled. 1:72 scale
is too small for this helicopter, and it inevitably looks a bit harsh.
This ship-based helicopter has one specific purpose - protect warship groups from small-size naval threats. Four short-range cruise missiles YJ-9 were made to fly fast and low to avoid detection and hit missile boats. Other than that, the helicopter can carry torpedoes and provide regular utility services.
I enjoyed making this model of one of the most beautiful choppers in history. Unfortunately, the kit from Dream Model is not perfect in any sense and requires a really skillful modeler to make it nice and accurate. But at least I captured the color right, and most of the details are correct.
