Now THAT looks GOOD! 👍 👍
So, base layer done in panzergrau. That is pretty much the exact color I was looking for! Thanks for showing that! 👍

Glad to be of help 😉
had a horrible busy weekend (town fair...), but could at least get a few minutes on the bench. I´ve done a slight wash in brown and a brownish-black... might be that I have to re-do the graphite thing, but well... not today 😉
which makes the next problem to solve, the mount. the start is already made, but just a plastic tube is way too simple representation....

Ah yeah, every day Life getting in the way of the hobby, don't you just hate it 😉 hahaha!
The wash looks good! 👍 Maybe it's even a good thing some of the graphite is already underneath, giving it a bit of extra depth. Indeed redoing some of the highlights with graphite will definitely bring it back to life, I think 🙂 can't wait to see how this turns out! With the mount also 🙂

Well, although I started weekend on Wednesday I had just a few hours off... But I got my work done, which was at least fun and I did all you should do aswell (eat, drink and meet people you haven´t seen for a long time 😄)
--
the look has already a bit changed, but overall it still looks as greasy as before... I´ll leave it for a while now as it is, have to scratch the cradle (or y-) mount first... I´ve checked some AM-stuff, everything reasonable priced is sold out and I´m not really tempted to invest vast sums... so all will be build from scratch

Haha! That was a long weekend with little time then 😉 for the hobby anyway. But time well spent, I must say, visiting family & friends 👍 Having a social Life is more important than any hobby 😉
Too bad the interesting AM sets were sold out... and I can understand not being willing to pay large sums of money for something like that. Some prices of PE or resin sets are simply ridiculous!
Sooo, scratch building then! That will be interesting 🙂 I haven't done that in ages 😛

Sorry John, but I have to dissapoint you, not too much scratbuilding this time. 😉 I realized I was seaching in a completely wrong direction. I found exactly what I need: Machine Gun Set (Academy 1384, 1:35)
seems to be a real "all you need in one box" mounts, guns, ammo boxes, decals for ammo boxes... but neverteless I´ll complete the Tamiya one aswell...
