I know what you mean when you can potentially spend a fortune on aftermarket stuff. I'm looking forward to some more pics as I'm curious on the black primer. I'm thinking of using it on my latest model as I normally use a grey primer.

I like using the black primer for several reasons. I do paint and bodywork and black shows all the flaws, waves, imperfections. In the real world we primer them grey then hit it with guide coat and block for flaws. It works very well topped with rust, topcoat for preshading. Plus it just looks cool for a few, even though it is going to covered😉

Have serious issues in paying 20$ on PE on a 5$ kit. So finding alternative solutions.
