Actually the variations in grey are due to an error in color selection. I initially used way too dark gray on upper surface and had to correct that by overspraying it with a lighter one. 🙂

For the record, toilet is from Brengun 1/48 resin & PE add-on kit. I was very happy with it's quality.

That's great, I had to use a dolls house toilet for mine, good to see others with a sense of humour. Great job

Initially I too thought that I have to source the toilet from some odd corner of life but then I discovered that Brengun has this AM kit - with correct decals to boot.

I just noticed the toilet. Duh. Funny as the VC or NVA wouldn't know what it is. The Vietnamese used a hole in the floor with foot rest on each side. Good idea though. Gary

Beautiful work on that A1H,
A friend of mine built one with the toilet, so I one upped and built a A-10 with a kitchen sink on one rail

Back in the 70's, Vietnam was selling a lot of scrap "made in USA" metal to Japan. Somebody came up with the idea of strapping a Toyota to a B-52 bomb rack. Gary

They were a gritty, oily, and loud mouthed beast, and you have captured that image perfectly. Well done. 🙂 👍 Though the only thing missing is the oil stains from the huge radial on the belly tank. Just a thought. 🙂

Thanks. As to what comes to stains on fuel tank, I did not see those on ref pics of this particular incident so I did not add any. I may have been blind, though...

No, you were not blind, and my comment was just a loud thought, but these 'Spads' were redound for the oil leaks and stains, as there was a saying about the big P&W radials. If they were not leaking oil, there was something wrong. 🙂
But I do like what you have done here, a lot. 🙂 👍
Cheers. 👍
