This is my Hasegawa F-14A Tomcat from VF-84. I somehow managed to break pitot tubes during the build process, as is my nature somehow. The next Tomcat I build will have aftermarket tubes.
I'm also getting back into this hobby after a while, and I never quite mastered the process of weathering (although I hope to go back and figure that out in the future). I also don't have an airbrush, so painting is done with spray cans and brushes.
This Hasegawa kit is fairly old, but I wanted the option to swing the wings of the Tomcat. Panel lines are raised, but overall it fit together nicely. I'm most annoyed with how the flat-black of the anti-glare parts around the canopy turned out to be more glossy. Not sure how that happened. Also, when I went to apply Testors Glosscote, it started removing the black paint from the tails, so I had to go back and repaint, which was annoying, but it didn't seem to cause that much of an issue at the end of the day.
