T-33A "Early" (WIP)
Small improvements
Painting the dials
Closing the fuselage
The fit is not perfect - particularly, the nose is quite bad, because it has a huge step relative to the fuselage
Puttying and sanding, end of second night
Primed with Ammo One Shot
Masking for there Chipping Fluid (Ammo) followed by acrylic black
Black chipped dry with an awl
The seats ready for matt varnish - I removed the cushions, as my references show the portuguese T-33 did not have them
Moving forward with MRP-194 Luminous Orange (you really have to paint white beneath it)
Last decals applied and Ammo Panel Line Wash (A.MIG-1616), with generous "baths" of Tamiya X-22 gloss varnish in between and after
Masking to apply matt varnish (MRP-127 Super Clear) on wheel wells
Matt varnish going down (MRP-127)
And when pulling the tape up... here comes the decal... 🙁
Gear
Standing on its feet!

Cockpit looks good! I have the old Hawk kit in my stash to do one of these days...

Cockpit is nice but a little too simple. The color callouts, however, are completely wrong.

Count me in.
I have both versions from them and the kit looks great in the box.

Let's see how it comes out. I must confess I had high expectations but the fit is not great and the engravings are quite shallow on some parts of the kit. This is not evident in the photos.

Thanks. It is a bit exagerated for an operating plane, but it sure was fun to do! 🙂
