Macchi C.200 Saetta
Cockpit completed. Inside painted with grey and green with some leather yellow detailing. Added the aftermarket control panel (not visible in the photo). Seatbelts are made of aluminium foil and painted in leather brown and grey details. Dark wash.
1/2 Filled all the gaps on the model with putty, especially the back part of the fuselage where the two parts were far apart. Sanded the entire model properly, including the elevated panel lines. Connected the canopy.

1/4 Completely primed, filled with putty and sanded down. Took off way more primer than I thought. Reasons were extremely bad moulds and fitting as well as my failed rescribing attempt. Next up is the preshading and then of to painting!

1/7 It's done! Quite a few mistakes, but all in all I am happy. Chipping got out of control. Also the ground is not that bright IRL. I am happy with most of it, paint went on nicely, however I had some orange peel after the gloss coat.

Thanks Alec! It was a challenge indeed - it looks simple when you open the box, but the more you get into it, the more putty you use 🙂

Even with your challenges noted, it is an excellent effort and captures the subject well,
