Thank you!
Yeah, I added a photo at the end to show the headlight, couldn't be bothered to retake all the photos though (light was starting to go anyway).

You're certainly getting the hang of this modelling lark. Excellent result.

I'm surprised you do so well with the basic tools you have. How are you getting on with your airbrush now?

Was about to ask a similar question. Judging by the smoothly sprayed brown and tan you seem to have got to better terms with the thinner 🙂
Nice job on your SU 👍 🙂

Thanks Paul!
Gorby, what do you mean by "basic tools" ? I'm managing ok with the airbrush but i'm honestly thinking I need a new one that's better, I just really can't afford it.
Rene, thank you. I'm still using the Vallejo Model Air paints though which don't need thinning, so technically i'm "cheating".😉

When I've seen your work in progress photo's, many of the tools look like the sort of things I used when I was a kid, and a few months ago you mentioned that you didn't have any sandpaper, which to me is a necessity.
I'm certainly not a 'tool tart' (someone who has to have the latest tool regardless of price) but the modelling tools I now have would have been unimaginable when I was young.
It was intended as a compliment. I've seen models build by tool tarts that aren't in the same league as yours.
I use a Harder & Steenbeck Ultra airbrush which can produce decent results without having a silly price (birthday Christmas perhaps) but it looks like your doing pretty good with the one you have.

Oh I see. Well I do have some sandpaper now, i'm just not sure how to use it much. I have a nail sponge that is handy for certain areas that I use. And as I use perfect plastic putty (which comes off in water) I typically don't have to sand that.
The airbrush I have been using is a presumably cheap one that came with the compressor I bought, it's finicky, and getting a bit battered.

Thanks! Glad you like it. It has a good spot on my shelves over near the door. 🙂
