2020/21: OOB build of the '05 Revell 1/48 kit.
So I thought I'd better build a Spitfire...
Detailing and washing, highlighting certain elements.
Cockpit painting and enhancements.
Adding grime.
Filling and blending...
Primed.
Post shading.
Adding washing.
Hand painting canopy inside and out...

NeilHi Bruce 🙂 yeah we're almost there 👍 washes all done and she's been matt coated also, so just canopy etc... Thanks for your comment very kind 🙂

JohnBoth Merlin powered machines Spit and P-51 are great looking but I have to give the edge to the Spit, just a beautiful bird. Nice build. 👍

NeilHi John, agreed! Yes, both (with all their various upgrades/engines) are mighty machines indeed. I couldn't bring myself to make the option of the Spit in this kit with clipped wings, it just spoils that iconic shape... When I returned to this hobby in 2019, my first build was a Monogram P-51 - that tells you something as well 😉 Thanks for your comment on my build 🙂

JohnHa, I know what you mean about the clipped wing Spits. It's like taking a beautiful girl and lopping off her ears. Aerodynamically it made sense but aesthetically it was an atrocity.
