Both Merlin powered machines Spit and P-51 are great looking but I have to give the edge to the Spit, just a beautiful bird. Nice build. 👍

Neil
Hi John, agreed! Yes, both (with all their various upgrades/engines) are mighty machines indeed. I couldn't bring myself to make the option of the Spit in this kit with clipped wings, it just spoils that iconic shape... When I returned to this hobby in 2019, my first build was a Monogram P-51 - that tells you something as well 😉 Thanks for your comment on my build 🙂

I like the edged camo spots, with them the whole plane looks neat👍

John
Ha, I know what you mean about the clipped wing Spits. It's like taking a beautiful girl and lopping off her ears. Aerodynamically it made sense but aesthetically it was an atrocity.

Neil
Thanks Chan Li 😊 very kind of you.... Totally agree John 👍

Hi all 🙂 I've finally got around to taking 'reveal' pictures for many of my previous build albums. I shall be updating each and including a few build notes in the description too.

Here is my version of the Revell Spitfire kit completed in 2022. Much thanks to all who showed an interest and liked my efforts 👍
