The rear of the superstructure has nice detail, yet it had a sprue-gate in a quite inconvenient spot around some details

Decks and superstructure are dry-fitted

For a moment, I was thinking about scratchbuilding a hangar-bay to hide most of the not-so-ideal helicopter.... maybe I´ll do it

I must say, that this thing really looks like a stealth-speedboat (which it actually is to a degree 🙂 )

Did a basic hangar-construction. It is an "educated guestimation" from images I had available via the internet

I think I got caught in the Rabbit Hole of detailing things with the hangar 🙂 I guess this level of detail will be enough, as there isn´t really any way to see in the hangar besides the rear door

Finished the majority of the assembly. I now started with the PE parts. The kit includes .50s and their shields as well as the security-nets for the flight deck.

As you can see, I am adding additional railings from generic 1/700 PE-sets on other parts of the ship. Further progress might however be slow, as I might rebuild my workspace with a new table and (hopefully) more space 🙂

That´s it for the railings 👍 I also glued the gun shields to the .50s. Fidling some small offcuts of railing into the "step" that the railing makes on the top deck was quite a challenge... but it looks the part. Maybe I´ll find time and motivation to make some upgrades on the mast

I have to say that I really like the machineguns being in PE. While I had concerns that they may be too thin, it turned out not to be the case 🙂
