12 August 2021: Sprues washed, dried, ready to go
The different parts making up one wheel. There are five to build.
Try to ensure not missing a part by laying each step out on the instructions.
Subassemblies completed, internal detail painting completed and sealed in with a semi-gloss coat. Ready for decals, and camo stripes.
This is the camouflage pattern which I will try and emulate.
I traced a pattern using a pencil.
I hand painted the rough pattern following the pencil lines. The word "sloppy" comes to mind. I hope to have captured the same effort which was synonymous with applying paint in 1944.

Very unusual, so to my taste too 👍 The interior looks very neat, I'm looking forward to seeing it come together.

Nice idea i like the camo pattern and these colors are a good base for weathering 👍

Not many units were able to spray a camouflage pattern on and thus the crews did that by hand. The word "sloppy" is in fact just "perfect"! 👍

Thank you all for stopping by and your kind comments. The plan is to apply a pin wash first and to see where it will take me with the weathering.

An allover wash can unify the colours a bit and soften the edges. And Mike has a point!
