added fuel/oil lines to the engine and drilled the openings for the spark plug wires
gloss black is on!
Duraluminium for the intake manifold and push rods (there's some burrs to clean up grrrrrrr)
engine all done and the cowling dry fitted

gun sight in place - note the tabs added to the cowling:
they make the fit to the fuselage much more consistent

Joachim F.Great Karl - now I want lasagna!
I've experimented with thick aluminum foil and it's either too stiff, or it buckles too early.
Lead foil (from a wine bottle) seems to be more forgiving.

Joachim F.Indeed, it is! I went a little overboard with the rivetting wheel and now th stitching is a little too heavy.
A slight buffing might do the trick..

Spanjaardvery nice engine. cushion looks good. i have been collecting aluminium foil for a long time. all kind of thickneses can be found 🙂

Karl, almost completely agreed. For me it's not about the finished model itself but the path that leads there.
Trying out new things, learning soemthing from failure and maybe improve some techniques/skills a little - that's my reward 😉
