Here we are! The "Twin" has found its final shape - and I have to say: first of all, the model is big and secondly, it's a really unusual appearance! Once again, Modelsvit has put a lot of emphasis on quality: the accuracy of fit is really sensational, the surface details are impressive.

The black in which the Twin Mustang is now wrapped must not be confused with the final black of the US Night Fighters: it only represents the primer for the Alclad White Alu coat that I will apply tomorrow.

Next round: I need the Alclad "White Alu" to bring some weatherning into play. In addition, it's a great way to find flaws on the surface - and, finally, it looks good on the Twin Mustang!

Slowly but surely an end is coming into sight! The surfaces are now sealed, what is still missing is a strong appropriate washing and lots of signs of use. I have tried to depict paint chipping of various depths, which was also quite fun.

Now the time has come: the Twin Mustang is finally ready! A relatively complex and also parts-rich construction, which demands quite some effort, energy and sometimes also nerves. I have made things even worse by using the markings of a machine from the "Print-Scale" sheet: the decals are simply not good and especially do not fit in terms of size/scale! In the end I only used a few heavily modified parts from them and did the rest myself. But of course this is no judgement on the spectacular new kit from Modelsvit! All I can say to it is: enjoy it, we had to wait a long time for an F-82 Twin Mustang!
