Whilst this is a fairly straightforward kit to build, the main area of development for me was making sure the painting scheme works. I tested out a few options by using the instructions and mixing paint with that approach and looked at other options, which i found searching the internet. Whilst mixing the paints produced an "ok" blend, it was when I tried the following two options.
I use either Halfords plastic grey undercoat or Zero Paints undercoats as a goto for most my models depending on the base colour.
Usual test fit and fix of parts and a few filler points here and there to clean up seams.
The main colours used were titanium silver and clear red on a dark primer.
Whilst I liked the Tamiya TS and CR I finally went for Zero Paints TS and Clear Red which came out quite well. I will then cover these with a 2k clear coat and polish and then add washes etc, before assembling.
Here are the results of the first paint run. Let me know what you think.
And yes they are Bacon storage boxes I'm using to dry.
