2C-Adversaries: Iraq (1991-2001)

This collection consists of Iraqi military equipment in operation during my military service. These weapons survived Operation Desert Storm and were used throughout the end of the Saddam Hussein regime, including during my service in Operation Southern Watch.

Throughout the 1990s, Iraq defied UN resolutions to destroy weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles, to cease nuclear weapon research and development, and to allow weapons inspectors the ability to confirm compliance. Iraq ignored UN resolutions to cease oppression of Kurdish and Shiite populations in the northern and southern area of the country. Iraq continously attempted to shoot down US and Allied aircraft enforcing the UN resolution.
