Bulgarian Royal Army received its first Opel Blitz 3.6-36(Typ S) in 1939.Until 1944 more than 1900 Blitz trucks of various types(Typ A, Flugkraftstoff-Kesselwagen,Funkkraftwagen,Omnibus e.t.c) were delivered.Together with Renault AHN, these formed the backbone of Army's motorisation.While AHN's were also received in big numbers, the Blitz was considered The Truck-praised by both officers and simple soldiers.The Truck was still in use in the late 1970's and I recall seing it often on the streets of my hometown back then.This build is dedicated to a truly long-lasting workhorse.
