L-1011 OSC "Stargazer"

I stared with a Otaki 1:144 kit (good luck on finding one) since it was the most detailed kit of the L-1011. The Airfix is not very detailed & the Eastern Express has no windows. You can still get the decals from Cutting Edge for the Stargazer (hurry before they sell out). The decal kit from Cutting Edge should include the red stripe that runs the length of the aircraft. The engines are from a Eastern Express 200 or 500 kit . OSC upgraded the engines on the Stargazer to the new engines. Ground clearance on the Pegasus XL with the rear fins canted down is minimal. I was also lucky to find an old Cutting Edge Pegasus XL kit (these you can't find any more). I used Micro Scale's Kristal Klear to make the glass in the windows instead of the kits clear plastic windows. It would have been a nightmare to mask all the little passenger windows. The Kristal Klear worked great after I painted the model.
