Not much progress here, the front undercarriage was added and then further weights were added where I could in order to stop it being a tail sitter. 🙂

Do you mind if l ask what white paint you use??
I use Velejo for most my builds been good....but the white is poor in pigment!! I got recommend AK White.....and it is loads better but bit thick.
Like what you achieved so far 👌👍

Yes, good help as l didn't know the Tamiya paint could be thinned with isopropanol. I have few pots that have thickened up bit to much.
So will get some in.
Thanks 👍👍

You could Not all colors thin with Isopropanol, but the most. All glittering colors have to dry more than 24hours and use some gloves. If you didnt do it, you got fingerprints on your kit. I learn that the hard way. 😅

I like the cockpit! But are you sure with the grey colour for the backside and top of the instrument panel?

Cockpit and main engine fitted to one side of the fuselage. 🙂
I agree with you Hajo, I have painted the top and back of the instrument panel (where there are no decals) black. I had intended to use a darker grey but the one I did use was quite light. 👍

The mention aircraft was sent to the Airshow in Aspern as a "demonstrator" in austrian marking. Austria was interessed in buying 18 Ju86K-7. Due to several reasons Junkers was not prepared for that airshow and on short note removed the markings of an 86K-2 that was already prepared to be sold to Sweden. They put on austrian markings, a service number #311 and flew it over to Austria for just this one day. Flight captain Behrendt did a good job and the aerobatic air-display was a great success. So far so good. Why I am telling this? 86-K2 is a differend engine and cowling. The box is a 86E1/2. Aftermarket conversion products are out there (Kora) .....I had difficulties to locate/buy some.
Therefore: it is Scratchbuilding time again !!! 😎

But the first cuts are already done - no way back now 😉
(and I have to odmit: usually I like it to test my skills by a DIY task every now and then)

Very interesting and extremely promising! We talked about it in Ried, and now I'm delighted to see these ideas being realised in such an impressive way!
