The instruction isn't mentioning the stand at all. As the torpedo is under the COG I would try to fix it to the torpedo.
Very nice progres so far. 👍

Leaning that way, Nicolas. I don't like it, but that's probably what I'll need to do.

@Mr D, the Devastator was a pre-War torpedo bomber that was one of the most advanced aircraft of its time. Unfortunately. it was already obsolete at the start of the war. It was slow and underpowered, and early-War tactics left its crews extremely vulnerable.

The Douglas TBD Devastator, was the U.S. Navy's main torpedo bomber. It was introduced in 1935, but was obsolete by 1939. They were replaced with the Grumman TBF Avenger.

Both coming along really nicely now, the flap lines look a lot better now.
Looking like all the build updates.
Good luck with next steps 👌😁👍👍

Thanks, Mr D. I'm trying not to let the asymmetry bother me on the black-primed model. I wish I'd made a template or measured them instead of trying to follow the old panel lines. Still, I'm glad I made the effort.
Pure improvisation, Casey! It seems to be holding up so far. I want to do open or partially-opened canopies, so it didn't make sense to glue them in place, which is what I usually would have done.

It's very hot and dry where I am right now, and the paint isn't responding the way I'd like. I'll have to come back when conditions are better.

Hi, Mathias. Thanks for your comment.
This kit is actually TAKOM 8004, I am trying to modify it to StuH-42 (TAKOM 8006) by using spare components from Academy 13531 (Panzer III Ausf. J).

Interesting comparison with the other one. I will have to see if they make an AL-7F

Following. Still struggling with my Revell/Modeltrans/OKB Grigorov Merk. Also bought the EMP3D ball and chain armour but see that you used the balls only. Anxious to hear why. Where did you find the super fine chain? I didn't.

Following.
I had also thought about replicating the chainball armor with chains for my two Merkavas and tried but failed because the chains I found all seemed too big.

I was elated when EMP3D released the ball and chain armour and I ordered it and it looks very good. So I am anxious to know why Pryzemyslav discarded it.

Thx mates.
When i've bought EMP3D i was very happy, because there are no in the trumpeter set.
But after installation it occured they hang to low and just break with little turret movement
After few trials to fix them, ideas to rebuild the turewt, i've decided to replace them
Found small chains (even smaller that i've used) on mojehobby.pl

Thanks.
I used the ChainBallArmor from Modell Trans Modellbau on my two Merkavas. They look appropriate - but still no comparison to a real chain - and don't touch the tank structure: Dio: Two Merkava Mk.IIID (LIC) on a desert road | Album by Shar (1:72)
Chain ball armor by Modell Trans Modelbau: Merkava III D - ugrade set (..ans Modellbau MT72237, 1:72)
Thanks.
