Oversized decals in 1/48 appears to be a common problem with Italeri aircraft kits in 1/48. Despite the printing quality (Cartograph) it appears that Italeri are incapable of accurately measuring them for fit before sending off to Cartograph for printing. I have encountered similar decal fit issues with their 1/48 F-14A, Mirage III, Mig 21, S-3 Viking etc. Given that most (if not all) of their kits released these days are reboxings of older tooled kits; having to replace the decals as well is just a no go for me and so I now avoid the brand completely.

Ricardo Reis@James, I was not aware of this issue; I only started noticing when I started to apply the first decals and looking at the reference photos - there are 2 or 3 photos of this specific aircraft; now it's to late to go back, but I am alert for the future; @bughunter, I love this typo or propeller, like the ones we can see in the A400M, they are very beautiful and elegant and powerful at the same time!

Ben MI agree with the propeller lust. This kit is just the way I like it, nothing fits.

Michael KohlFollowing. Still struggling with my Revell/Modeltrans/OKB Grigorov Merk. Also bought the EMP3D ball and chain armour but see that you used the balls only. Anxious to hear why. Where did you find the super fine chain? I didn't.

I had also thought about replicating the chainball armor with chains for my two Merkavas and tried but failed because the chains I found all seemed too big.

Michael KohlI was elated when EMP3D released the ball and chain armour and I ordered it and it looks very good. So I am anxious to know why Pryzemyslav discarded it.

When i've bought EMP3D i was very happy, because there are no in the trumpeter set.
But after installation it occured they hang to low and just break with little turret movement
After few trials to fix them, ideas to rebuild the turewt, i've decided to replace them

Dave BurgessI bought this through E-Bay, only to find the kit had already been started, and a couple of key pieces were missing. Fortunately, I was refunded, and the seller let me keep the model.
In order to build it, I had to pour a couple of replacement resin pieces; it cost me more for the resin and casting material than I paid for the kit! Still, in the end, it turned out quite well. Because it was much more work, I think I have a soft spot for this one over the yellow/red Labrador

Michael KohlI want to build the yellow canadian CH-113 on day myself. Nice to see those two beauties sude by side. I read that the Hobbycrab kit is a challenge. I'd appreciate a word or two on how the build was.

Dave BurgessThanks, guys! My favourite CH-113 of the two is the old red, white & blue RCAF version, not for the paint scheme as much as dealing with the missing parts, replacing them with resin cast replicas and finishing the model. Nice thing was - the guy who I bought from on eBay refunded my purchase and let me keep the kit. So the price was certainly right.
