You like most of us waste our lives fiddling away on our own little projects only you do it better than most.I try and resist building OOB to make it more challenging and interesting, sometimes OOB.LOL

What a beautiful scratch you're doing in such a small kit. This is Unbelievable 😮 at least for a person with tired eyes like me. Do you use a microscope? 😄

Rui, these days I can barely find my work bench without my optivisor. 😄 😄
David, I do it because I like the challenge as well...and I can't write symphonies. Scratch-building in 1/72 also gives me a chance to practice swearing. I'm getting quite good at it now. 😳
Thanks all for tagging along. 🙂

Thanks Lukasz. 🙂
The original intention was to do a quick out of the box build...then I saw what was missing and I've sort of got carried away. 🙂

Another scratch project? I am of course in 👍. A wee bit of a depressing preamble (lots of which I identify with), hope you are ok mate 👍.
Excellent progress btw.

Sorry Alex, I thought I'd attached the (very basic) kit to the project, and I'm fine - thanks mate.
Thanks all, I'm enjoying adding a few bits to this thing and glad you like it. 🙂

I feel like I'm a bit late to this party, but this is really fantastic; not just the effort you're putting into it gorby, but the history, the humour and the imagination and research too. It's your model, you make it your way and it's a pleasure to see so much experience and skill put to such satisfying effect. 👍👍😎

X-4, my fav colour! 😄 I have to admit this colour setup looks very die-cast-Matchboxish 😄

Better late than never David. Thanks for the lovely comment. I think some people take this hobby a bit too seriously so I like to do the exact opposite. 🙂
You're right Lukasz, the colour does look a bit die-cast doesn't it? 😄
I need to drag myself away from using X-4 – even if I think it suits oldie-worldie vehicles. I don't want to be thought of as a one trick pony. I'm at least a two trick pony. 😄 😄

People always like to take things seriously, even when they possibly shouldn't! Really look forward to the next update! 👍

It happens sometimes! I've had this alot with brush painting, l think the brush would push paint under.
I use a masking fluid on top of any awkward masks now.
You will get it tidied ok.

I completed the build yesterday and other than the headlights being a bit too big I'm happy with how it turned out. I ended up really enjoying the build and thanks to every one for following. 👍

What a nice little lorry! I hear some sound of the steam engine ...
A nice street too. That might be a good idea to seal it with thinned PVA, I'll have to remember that for the future.

And dat colours and weathering, like Matchbox Yesteryear series taken out of storage after all these years 😄
@John: will do, but only when we start seeing these bigly huge matchsticks 😄

WOW! That's a very nice surprise to find in the morning. 🙂
I'm amazed that such a tiny model has had such a big response. Thanks you everyone for taking the time to comment. 👍
John: My 1/72 vehicle fixation was a Zsolt's fault….thanks Zsolt. 🙂
Bugs: What's this? Has the world turned upside down? Me teaching Bughunter something. 😄
Alec: It's also because I'm too tight to buy a photo tent, did I forget to mention that bit. 😄
Kesa: Photo 28 explains how I made the base – it's as quick, simple and cheap as it's possible to make a reasonably decent base.
Lukasz: I'm stttiiilll looking for those huge matches. 😄
Thanks again to everyone who commented or liked. 👍
