Hull halves glued together. Bottom was very thin and not very stable, so I added plastic sheet to the bottom for strength and a little extra height for diorama setting.

Album image #14
Drilled holes into bottom of hull halves to allow Tamiya extra thin glue to travel to the new plastic sheet all along bottom of hull.

Album image #15
Taped hull plating rows.

The kit correctly (from what I can tell from grainy B&W pictures) shows the deck at the bow as being a wooden deck. Five Star has a PE deck for the bow, but it incorrectly displays as a metal deck. So, I needed to create a new deck.

Album image #17
New deck cut out of plastic card with openings for anchor chains, winch, etc.

I'm using a wood deck laminate on this built. Here it is, placed onto the new deck.
