William used 0.02mm copper wire.
I was afraid that copper would be too soft in the long run and used my thinnest fishing line in 1:48. But there are also build reports with nickel silver wire.

Very impressive indeed. I have instructions on doing this in 1/32 somewhere but never thought it could be done in 1/72. And now, you do it in 1/144! Fantastic 👍
