1970 Monte Carlo

1972 Monte Carlo - I had this car from 1978-1979.  

Took me about 10 attempts to mix the paints to get what I remember was a beautiful deep metallic green. Ended up being spot on to what I recall the car looked like. 

Vinyl top made from painters tape. 1st time I tried this technique.
 

Love a surprise. Needed a red-orange for the engine color. I had an OLD bottle (40 years?) and it was still good!!!  

Not much to say except when I was done and loading this to scalemates I remembered my dash was faux woodgrain. Wish I had done that. 

 

For an AMT kit, I was pleasantly surprised as to the details in the engine bay.
