Very nice F-15. I have seen the Model Master F-15 Grey. I thought that was for C and D model F-15s. I thought the F-15Es were finished in Gunship grey? Am I wrong as I am about to do an E and I want to be sure and get the color right.

Great job!👍 I am glad that I did not have to apply all these stencils in that scale!!!

Thanks for the nice comments Guys.
Clifford F-15C & D are two tone greys Light & Dark Ghost greys. For F-15E Strike Eagle overall grey that is the right colour. Luckily Model Master produces lots of specific colours.

I Google everything I need to know about all the painting I am to do, so I looked up what is "Standard colours" for all F-15 and this is what I got.
I hope it is of use Clifford. 🙂

I am most impressed with the overall effect and finish you have created and it's a pity about the decal problem before you even started but a great recovery. Well done WW

Thanks Guys. Again this shows not to always go by the color callouts in the kit painting guide. My paint guide calls for FS563118 Gunship Grey. Looks like I will be ordering F-15 Grey.

Gunship Grey was the one all 15's had for the middle east, but there have been some variations done since then.

The particular aircraft I am modeling was in the Gulf war,it actually shot down an Iraqui helicopter with a laser guided bomb. So I guess the Gunship Grey is correct then. It is a Seymore Johnson bird.

Be really specific in your requests too. Put in EXACTLY what it is you want and guaranteed, there will be a link left by someone for you. 🙂

Clifford FS36118 Gunship Grey is the main colour for the upper fuselage of F-4 & F-16.

Album info
Here is my completed model Hasegawa F-15E in 72 scale supposed to be Seymour Johnson but decal stuck to the decal paper so I changed it to Academy LA markings. Using Model Master F-15 Grey & weathering in acrylic wash. Mk 20 Rockeye bombs also from Hasegawa. Comments & suggestions are highly welcome.
