Thx chaps. But I hope you're not expecting too much from this one 😉
It's gonna be a straight out of the box, apart from the canopy, that I'm looking to replace, because the original is really catastrophic

Btw: Can somebody help me out here with that (british) canopy?....

Dont worry. I am currently working on the same kit (just an older boxing) and it will be an oob project too. My biggest task will be to prepare the whole surface for a metal finish.

@ Stefan: I'm looking forward to this. Curious how you will deal with that surface 🙂
I'm moving to completion here....Decals are all applied. Now another layer of gloss, in order to seal them and then on to some detail work and finishing the canopy. (For now I'll use the original one. With a bit of luck, I'm gonna come across a vacformed later on)

A lot of sanding has to be done to get rid of all thoose small imperfections and defects. I will add some pictures soon. Yours is coming together quite nicely! 👍

Thx. Will you get rid of the (overdone) rivets? I guess that you might to, in order to clean up the surface...

As for my latest photo upload: The canopy has been painted yesterday. Of course, preparation took more time than the paint job itself. I tried first with bits n pieces of tape, but after it took me about 20mins to cover one window, I decided to accelerate and cut out the masks straight on the canopy, with a very sharp cutter. I do not like that technique too much, errors do not forgive here... nevertheless it's probably the only good (and fastest) solution in that case.
Since the window frames are clearly defined, you just follow them with the blade.
The only critical area were the two bulged windows. Calm hand needed here...
Clean up and minor corrections can be done later on with a cutter and/or tooth pick. The latter prefered, because you do not damage the canopy with it.

As for the wheels, the masks are custom made with a 3mm puncher
