Weird, flat, Swedish...

Album image #1
The hull. Suspension is not really rich in details, but quite sufficient.

Album image #2
Support rollers leave quite a lot to be desired...

Album image #3
Rear ammo loading hatches updated a bit.

Album image #4
As usual - barrel swap. Oh how i cherish the fact of NOT needing to clean & sand the oval profiles 😉

Album image #5
Barrel dry fitted for overall look.

Album image #6
Album image #7
Details to be replaced shaved off.

Album image #8
Album image #9
Shell ejector doors in place as well as some other things.

Album image #10
First details in place.

Album image #11
Mostly clamps, locks & other stuff.

Album image #12
Further details including driver's visor. I also texturized a bit anti skid panels on the gun & tool box.

Album image #13
Close-up.

Album image #14
Detailed rear side of the Strv.

Album image #15
Getting closer to finish - side panels glued.

Album image #16
All vision ports in place. I left additional two on the cupola opened.

Album image #17
A little close up on the smoke dischargers.

Album image #18
Another rear view.

Album image #19
pintle mounted KSP 58 with details.

Album image #20
I added a little extra to make a connection to the ammo box.

Album image #21
Sadly no metal barrels are available for this MG, but a little drilling also did the job.

Album image #22
Typical and common species: Modelling Hedgehog.

Album image #23
Album image #24
Kit's vinyl tracks are not that bad only... a little to short overall and need to be stretched. Also the links themselves are a bit smaller than they should be. So here are semi-workable (only one joint movable) tracks, also from Trumpeter.

Album image #25
Left: semi-workable tracks converted as spares. Right: kit spare tracks. Why they put ejection pins on the visible side instead of the one with locator pins is beyond my understanding.

Album image #26
Primed and awaiting primary color.

Album image #27

Album image #29
I did my research, I dug through the web in search for the most relevant color equivalents for this - quite challenging scheme. And in the end I used an outdated cross-reference, so this one turned into a typical 90's GI Joe-like camo...

Album image #30
It turned out - this was the proper equivalent. Of course it is all without washes and filters, so it might be a little flat and vibrant.

Album image #31
I did only a quick shot with my mobile phone - those colors are definitely duller. I took some liberties in making the shapes - but the references are consisting mostly of equally different sprayed museum pieces (with lots of shortcuts).

Album image #32
I went on with the J's work making pattern, though it is different than what Trumpeter suggests and of course - totally different from the photos as well. Guess it'll have to do.

Album image #33
Finally I made the filters, washes and some drybrushing.

Album image #34
I temporarily placed the tools, still there is some fading to be done.

Album image #35
I really couldn't find any evidence of S-Tanks being heavily worn, so not much chipping to be done...

Album image #36
The cupola is very busy, but I should've stick to the plastic smoke dispensers - they look much more like the actual ones.

Album image #37
Still lamps need to be painted and all kinds of this small stuff...

Hi Wojciech!
This is an absolutely fascinating vehicle. I can understand that you "instantly fell in love with" it!🙂
One of these Stridsvagns is exhibited in the German tank museum in Munster. I am there quite often (and call it "my second living room"😉) and I never miss to pay this tank my special attention.
So carry on with this interesting project! So far you did a top job with all the brass stuff I can't wait to see your model grow.👍

Hi Ulf!
Many thanks for the kind words!
I'll be sure to see the real thing one day 🙂
So far it's going nicely - even though Trumpeter didn't make it easy on ejector marks. Now I have to solder front brackets, because their quite complex shape is not well suited for CA glue.

Plenty of video of this on The Mighty Jingles youtube channel as he just visited the Swedish Tank museum. Unique.

@Bart - yes it wil be in splinter camo, it just have to be as unique as the tank😉

@Achim - I'm quite sure about the green because it's just the primer so in no way it resembles the original thing. I will soon start the proper painting 🙂

I might actually see those videos, because what reference I have are from Belgian museum and I must say that I disagree with some details and paintjob. They are understandable for a museum piece, but shouldn't be present on a service vechicle. I'll see if I'm right or wrong 🙂

Thanks a lot 🙂 And as I was able to see, though we use mainly the same kits and detail sets, we have a little different approach 🙂 SO far the S-103 is painted with decals applied, varnished and filters are applied. However I didn't have time recently to make wash yet... But it's coming, it's coming 🙂

Album info

This one is a jump into 1:35 more seriously.

I instantly fell in love with this one - not really a tank destroyer, not quite a conventional tank.

So here's my take on this quite unusual subject in its late C variant.
