Thank you for your comment. For the next project (Raf BE.2c), I will invert the colors and preshade the ribs in black with the canvas in grey/white, as it appears to be more realistic.

I really liked your rib shading, and wanted to offer a friendly caution as to your decision to invert the colors. In my search to support my recommendation, I discovered that it can be done both ways to great outcome 😄 Here is an album of a 1/48 biplane experte Finished Experimental | Album by bughunter (1:48) : picture 11 is particularly interesting, as it shows the use of both techniques! Anyways, your model looks terrific 👍 and happy modeling. Looking forward to the Be.2c.
