Then cut out a couple of pieces from an old tank, and there is a pedestal for the AA gun, dont know how realistic it is though, couldn't find any good pics of how they looked

added some old parts i had to raise the pedestal

Pretty much the shape it was in when I got it back, I just separated the hull and took the tracks off. I did not do a good job with it in the first place. Put it together way to fast and the color was way off. I always used to build stuff so fast.

I did as much detailing as i could on the controls and everything, but they are not all that good on these old Tamiya models.

So my original idea for a base didnt work, I had to make a new one, both wider, longer and it sits higher up in the vehicle. I added supports to it as well.

underneath is a case, taken from a Tamiya AA gun kit.

Here is the 2 cm Flak 38 being built, now this was a descent model, a lot of detail, but i had some problems on some of the movable parts, like the PE part inside would not stay, and ended up breaking the tab off.

I will also be adding a bit more on the inside of the vehicle, ammo boxes and such

Painting is pretty much finished, I built it as a field modified 251, thinking maybe pulled from Africa to the East Front.

Album info

Here is my third Sdkfz 251, this will be either a 251/1 or maybe a 251/17, haven't decided yet. I will be painting it in dunkelgelb and panzergrau.

So I have decided it will be a 251/17, and not a production one, but a Field modified one. I am thinking East Front around 1943 or so. Made the gun mount myself out of an old tank hull and a few smaller flat parts for the mount brackets, also cut some bolts off of another old tank hull to add bolts to the mounting brackets. I have found pictures of guns that were mounted in the back of a normal Hanomag, but I could not find any kind of pictures of a field modified mount so I just had to think of how they might have done it.
