Very beautiful build! Can you add photos with a more natural color? The tank appears a little too yellowish.

Since the DAK was denied use of the desert yellow T34/85, the vehicle has been properly painted for the advance on Berlin.

Album info

The model depicts a T34/85 produced late in 1444 at the Krasnoye Sormovo Factory No. 112 in the Sormovsky district of Nizhniy Norvgorod along the Volgo River. This variant of the T-34/85 includes the Composite Turret Summer 1944 design with angled weld lines, and the Type B turret layout with radio antenna mount added and dual vent ports behind the cupolas.
The chassis was built OOB from the Dragon kit. The Turret is a resin / metal tube after-market upgrade from Red Armorer – T-34/85 Tank Turret from Factory Number 112 with a C(S)-53 Gun.

Primed with Mr. Hobby rattle can grey primer. The tank was air brushed with Vallejo Russian Green and Desert Yellow (mixed 70-30). The base coat was given an oil dot filter of Winsor & Newton primary colors using the “Spanish School” technique. The surface rust run-off lines were added with multiple Vallejo rust washes. The panel lines were added with Vallejo black wash and Tamiya Accent Panel line. The tank was weathered with Vallejo acrylics silver for wear m
