Marbling effect underway. But after 2 hours I started getting cramps in my hand.

Camouflage is on. On to the fun part.

First time I ever riveted a model.

Decals are on. Hobby Boss decals were ... sub-optimal and the offered variant didn't appeal to me. So I plundered the remnants of Academy's Ta 183 decals for the fuselage number, Balkenkreuz and underwing Balkenkreuz.

Attempting to make tiny scratches in the paintjob via colour pencils. Maybe I'll invest in the complete set from AK in the future since it does seem to work (somehow). And afterwards I'll add deeper scratches with aluminium colour.

Oil weathering, chipping, streaking effects done. Didn't want to go overboard. I am no fan of making aircraft as grimy as a tank which has just climbed out of a mudpool. 😉

The Lady has been put on her legs, given her teeth and a nose-job. Just the exhaust pipes and the exhaust stains left. And maybe a pilot figure and a small diorama. Don't know, yet.

She is finished. Sadly the pilot figure I had in mind doesn't really work anatomically (it's for a Bf 109 and therefor placing it in a Ta cockpit does anatomically "awkward"). That, and I found I don't have a wooden base large enough for her. Doh!

Please excuse the horrible light. I had to make do with ordinary desk lamps ... I really need to invest in a better setup for making pictures.

Thank you. Paintjob-wise it certainly is my best aircraft model to date.

Thanks a lot guys. It really means a lot to me to see your responses.
I have learned much over the past year, from construction to riveting to rescribing panel lines to all those details about airbrushing and weathering techniques. That "culminated" in this model.

RLM76, RLM81, RLM82 and RLM83 (83 just the engine). All colours were from Mr. Hobby.

Beautiful build. I really like the camo scheme and the why you painted it. Also nice base.
