Building the Aurora Black Falcon

Starting Out 

The Details most will be removed including the doors, the grates, the channels, the steps and etc. All to be replaced by scratch built, kit bashing, or after market. 

First Ships boat for model. However, I am concerned that it is too large and out of scale. 

2nd Ships boat taken from the Lindberg Jolly Roger AKA, the La Flore. This may work better. The ladders I may use but the grating I will be using some 1mm wood grating from Model Expo. I had thought about leaving the deck open and adding a main deck to the stern of the ship but decided to leave it closed off so that I could try and finish the kit this year. Instead ill be adding siding to the wall and placing on the rounded door that you see in the picture. 

Testing out items to kit bash. Have since removed the Channels and will need to figure out how to install new ones. Also, unsure how to deal with the port and starboard door access points. Not sure what the nautical term is for them. 

This was an early Base that I made for the model. However, I felt that it stood up way too high and will now use it for another kit later on.  

New base and wondering how to approach the map. Wanting to do a parchment finish on the map and do some work on the backside of the base area. 

Ideas to enhance base.

I love this octopus on the treasure chest and think that it will make for an interesting scene behind the map nameplate.
