In 1944, the IJ Army released a movie called "Katou Hayabusa Sentoutai (fighter squadron)" for the general public to raise their fighting spirit.
Nowadays, it was a Top Gun movie modeled on the 64th Squadron. You can see it on net.
I recommend it for ki43fans. (^o^)

It is believed that #21 green and #31 brown were used on the top surface and #1 gray-green on the bottom surface of the ki43 of 64 Squadron at the start of the war in 1941.
In my work I determined that it was a combination of #21 and #1.

These are scenes from the Japanese movie "Tsubasa no gaika" (Triumph of Wings) produced in 1942 with the full cooperation of the Imperial Army.
When they saw the realistic army fighter "Hayabusa" , the Japanese people were enthusiastic about their brave appearance.

Thank you Nathan for your heartfelt comments.
It's hard to modify the old kit for 1/32 ki43-I, so I hope some manufacturer will release a new kit. 😃

Thanks Charlie. The war ended when they were junior students at the IJA Aviation Academy.
They trained in dive attacks in training planes until the day the war ended.
Ki43-1 was an obsolete training plane at the time, but I couldn't ask them if they flew it.
I think it could have been a Ki55 or Ki79, but I don't really know. \( 'ω')/
