Short Stirling mk.III BK704

Album image #1
One half of a horizontal tail was missing, but a 1/48 scale P-47 wing looks right for the job.

The small windows are made from two component transparant resin, which becomes rock hard and is easy to file, sand and polish.
I start with taping transparant strips to the inside of the fuselage.

From the outside I drip the resin in. When it has hardened I can remove the tape and transparant strip.

There was no interior in the box, so on to scratch building again.

I like the addition of the tractor and bomb trolleys.Interesting fact is that the Stirling was Britains biggest bomber of the second world war.

@David: I got this kit as part of the payment for my Fokker T.V, but the box wasn't complete. Both the interior and tractor and the bomb trolleys are missing!
