Heinkel He. 111H-6, 1H+BP 6./KG26, 1942, 1/72
This is the aircraft that I am basing my build on. While it shares the 1H+BP codes of the kit's box art, it is certainly a different aircraft with a very different and much more crude camouflage scheme. This aircraft made a crash landing after limping to the coast of Spain after an anti-shipping mission in 1942.
The interior is done enough to join the fuselage halves

Oh photo-etch, how I love, and hate, you…
Wings are on. All of a sudden, it’s an airplane
Photo Etch wheel bays. I’m not sure I’ll ever do those again

This one is on my wish list, so I'll pop in and see how you get on, if I may!?

I thought at first this might be same molds as the Revell option but apparently they are two different kits.
Btw, the instructions apparently tell to snip off both the two thingies at the far rear side at the very end (seen on photo #6). The Revell kit build guide (also H6 version) says to snip off just one of them. I wonder what those two thingies are.

This is an interesting question. My model had them too. I won't say they didn't survive...

Evan B...
The two little "thingies" are gun barrels. There was a wide variety of different armament placement on He.111s between the various sub-models and even individual aircraft. Most He.111s didn't have the aftmost fixed tail gun, but some did in one of the two locations in the kit. I'm holding off on my snip until I get definitive evidence of its presence on my chosen subject.
