Fit is really nice. Especially keeping in mind it builds like a snap-fit. You'd only need glue for the smallest parts. Only piece that will require a lot of work is the spare wheel hub. It needs to be thinned considerably to be able to mount the spare wheel and is the only part requiring filler...

Nice job on the paint! For crew, I think any modern Russian figures would do. I think Alex Miniatures has some good ones in 1/72 and you can get them on AliExpress for fairly cheap. Regarding drivers, I know there's a guy on Etsy called 3Djson that has a good variety of WW2 drivers that can work here as the small scale makes it hard to distinguish. You could also use the driver figures from this set: Russian Soldiers in Trucks (Alex Miniatures A06, 1:72)
