Batman and Robin Batmobile

Like I previously mentioned that Warner Bros was celebrating the 85th anniversary of Batman and surprised us with all the batmobiles out, I will tell you that the manual is completely wrong on this Batmobile. I always assumed it was semi gloss black and the toys were the same. However this Batmobile in real life is extremely shiny Black. I painted as I saw it with the lights off, although I used reflective silver in case I changed my mind in the future.

The manual says to paint the hood accents flat black but in person is closer to gun metal or dark grey that enhances the blue. I added mesh to the engine because the real one has them, hollowed out the wheels as best as possible without breaking the rim also. I love the mini Batman that seats in the Batmobile, it fits in other Batmobiles perfectly.

The exposed fins on the front had a bare metal sheen to them and I also cut out the bottom grill and added a mesh rather than paint it black or blue. The manual tells you paint the interior orange, but I used a silver base and clear orange to give it that candy orange screen accurate, Batmobile displayed. Finally I cut around the Batman logo on the wheels to match the one I saw, rather than paint it black, they kind of stick out, be careful assembling the body to the chassis, AMT made it a completely Nightmare.
