Just a check (I'll remove my comment when answered), is it on purpose that your project images are so "pixly"? or is there an issue with scalemates? Tim

I have tried multiple times (unsuccessfully) to get clear avatar pictures. I have re-sized them to 202 pixels (and various other sizes) but keep getting distorted images. Very frustrating.

did you resize to 202px width or height? Pictures are auto-cropped to 754x202px. So in case it is not the exact size (we will resize) and crop so it fits.

all were re-sized to 202 height with proportions kept for a smaller width pixel. When creating my personal avatar, I used the same settings that worked fine.

we resize pictures so they are exactly "754x202"... so 173 width is made 754px. next the height is cropped to 202px again.

uploading your original high resolution ones is what you should do, the result is the same (the same piece of the original image will be seen) but with good quality

Thank you for the assistance. While not perfect, the avatars are much clearer, but still over sized.
