For dust on the clear parts, I used a very diluted/thinned dust/buff acrylic misted with an airbrush on some surfaces and dust pigments on the front windscreens and in touch-ups to even out the effect.

July 15th 1994: A United States Marine Corps AV-8B V/STOL Harrier descended below altitude minimums over a built up area, and in clear visual atmospheric conditions - pilot Harry Tasker - (computer salesman), failed to maintain minimal separation from an obstacle, allowing the tail of his aircraft to come in contact with a construction crane in downtown Miami. The crane's presence was properly published in NOTAMS for the Miami Florida area at the time of the incident.

so move "projects" from the popular filter to the "all" filter?

eg. If a project (any status) is worth watching, there will be an album and the album has a link to the project. (why bother showing a seconds newsfeed item with the same project?)

I concur, for project kickoffs, there is usually at least 2 if not 3 posts - one for the project creation (before any photo album is even created yet), sometimes one for the "Ideas" status, and then one for adding the photo album (sometimes empty with no photos yet). I think all that's really needed is when photos and/or text (descriptions/questions) are added. In my opinion, the popular newsfeed is often "borderline spam" with all the reviews and New Project being essentially a duplicate post of its first photo album upload.

I also second the motion of having a convenient way of adding a large quantity of topics to the favorites list. With nearly 2000 items in my stash, it would take an inordinate amount of time to manually add each one of them.

FYI, the empty photoalbum was fixed for a large amount of cases. It should be happening a lot less

btw...if i create a new project (only to sort in the used kit to my upcoming gallery) or album only for a placeholder or "keep in mind" for me, i delete this topic in the newsfeed so that is not be shown to public...
It would be fine, if there is a button while creating a topic with the option "hide" or "show" in the newsfeed. is that possible?
that will make it easier, to upload a gallery, manage the pictures or writings and so on. in my opinion, i will make it "fill with life", before i show it to the public.

FYI, a recent change makes projects invisible (I think the first 5mins) for other people. (you will see your project, others not yet)

Yes, I think that just removing "Idea" projects from the News Feed, or just being able to filter them out would be a great start. While I don't have anything against these kinds of newsfeed posts, it does become annoying when a user adds five or more project ideas in a row, as that shunts everything else that does have content further back into the history. As mentioned, once the user starts adding content to the associated album, the project can then be viewed etc. I hope that makes sense.

BTW, I agree as well. It would be nice to be able to create and work on a photo album or project, and not have it appear on the news feed at all until I'm ready to post it publicly.

I do not quite understand what you are after.
But I see that you have only rather recently arrived here.
Maybe it would be an idea to get used to the website as it is first and then after a while maybe six months or one year if you still have objections ask for changes.
In the mean time, you could also fill your profile. I find it so very nice to know a little about fellow modellers and also that it helps start a conversation.

@ Oliver - I'm basically requesting to have the option to "filter" the newsfeed to only display items that I personally have any interest in, whether it be by post type or subject matter and to auto assign topics to my favorites list when I add something to my stash.

Secondly, I've been a frequent user since mid 2016, so after going on four years now, I'd like to think that I know a little about what I'm requesting before making any such requests.😉

Lastly, this is a new more streamlined profile for myself, and the lack of any personal information in my profile is intentional 👍

@Jim, this functionality is already under development. I've already taken the remodeled newsfeed for a test drive and provided some feedback to Tim. After he completes all the work and makes it live, I think you might like it as checkbox filtering exists for post type, subject, topic, scale, etc.

Wow, excellent build and story. I have seen a few documentaries about PanAm recently, very interesting. Can you go a bit more into detail as to how you made the windows and what product you used?

Sure: I sealed up the windows with Kapton tape (High-temp polyimide tape with silicon adhesive) and filled the windows with 2-Part Crystal Clear Casting resin, both fairly inexpensive on Amazon (about $10 each).

Maybe you have a bookmark with /nl/ in it? That will set your language to NL

I've noticed that when I enter scalemates as a result of a google search the site is always in Dutch (my setting is English too). Had the same problems Günther has directly after making all the translations, but logging out and in a couple of times fixed that
